OWINGS MILLS, MD (August 16, 2023) – Maryland Public Television (MPT) today announced a national expansion of its HBCU Week programming initiative for September in celebration of the contributions of America’s historically Black colleges and universities (HBCU). The initiative includes national broadcasts of three HBCU-themed films and the production of four new short films focusing on HBCU Classic football matchups.

WASHINGTON, D.C. (July 27, 2023) – Patricia Harrison, President and CEO of the Corporation for Public Broadcasting (CPB), made the following statement today on the Senate  Labor, Health and Human Services, Education and Related Agencies (Labor-H) Fiscal Year (FY) 2024 funding bill, which provides $535 million for CPB's FY 2026 advance appropriation and $60 million for system interconnection and infrastructure for FY 2024.
