CPB Statement on the American Rescue Plan Act of 2021

WASHINGTON, D.C. (March 11, 2021) — Patricia Harrison, president and CEO of the Corporation for Public Broadcasting (CPB), made the following statement regarding the American Rescue Plan Act of 2021, which includes $175,000,000 for CPB as stabilization funding, being signed into law: 

CPB Announces Funding Increases for National Multicultural Alliance Organizations

Each to receive an additional $500,000 annually

WASHINGTON, D.C. (February 22, 2021) – The Corporation for Public Broadcasting (CPB) announced that each of the five public media organizations forming the National Multicultural Alliance (NMCA) will receive a $500,000 funding increase starting this fiscal year. CPB support helps these organizations provide much-needed content about diverse communities, created by diverse filmmakers, to the public television system and viewers across the country.

Arlington, VA, July 30, 2020 – Preschoolers and their families from coast-to-coast will take a trip to Animal Town this Labor Day with the premiere of the newest PBS KIDS series, ELINOR WONDERS WHY. The animated show encourages children to follow their curiosity, ask questions, figure out the answers, and learn about the natural world around them using their science inquiry skills.
